COURSE: Structured Analytic Techniques (Unit INTTRC314) - pilot course
Timetable
Monday 23 to Friday 27 November 2026. Four full days from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and a half day on Friday, finishing at 12:45 pm.
Location and format
Face to face at the Elysium EPL Training Room, UNSW Launch, Northbourne Avenue, Canberra.
Who is it for?
Beginner-level intelligence practitioners and people entering intelligence-related roles. No prior structured analysis experience is required.
Eligibility requirements
Access to this Course is limited to applicants who meet IIP’s eligibility requirements. Many of our clients are Australian Government agencies, and the requirements reflect their security expectations. Applicants complete an eligibility check, including confirmation of nationality, before any offer is made. We decide eligibility under the IIP Eligibility Policy. An applicant can ask for a review under the IIP Complaints and Appeals Policy.
Course fee
$1,850 per place, plus GST ($2,035 including GST)

Important dates
Registration closes on Friday, 13 November 2026. The substitution deadline is Thursday, 19 November.
Refunds
A full refund is provided if notice is given on or before Monday, 9 November 2026. A 50% refund is provided if notice is given from Tuesday, 10 November to Monday, 16 November. No refund is provided from Tuesday, 17 November 2026 or for no attendance.
Assessment
A knowledge check, a capstone analysis portfolio and a 5- to 7-minute oral intelligence brief with assessor questions, as set out in the Training and Assessment Strategy.
What participants receive
A certificate of completion for each Participant who meets the completion requirements in the Training and Assessment Strategy. This pilot is not accredited.
